Do you start praying for people to be healed when:
a. you've got enough faith; or
b. you still feel weak and worthless; or
c. [other].
I think my considered answwer is C. Typically, Jesus started to pray fot the sick when He had compassion on them. John 5v19 says: I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. Father God is full of compassion for His sons and daughters - Luke 15v20 - But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. In Mark 1v41-42 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured. So I want to walk and talk like Jesus, He is my model. It's all about Him; I think He is the one that causes our faith to rise and prayer. Having said that ... James 5v13-17 - prayer, worship, faith, confession ...
Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God
A wonderful, biblical answer Mr Griffin (P.S. would be great to see you soon). Does anyone have any experience of praying for the sick and seeing miracles? Was there any context around it that might shed some more light on this? I utterly agree that we just need to grab onto Jesus and follow Him in all that we can and see what happens.
